Don't get stuck in the Wilderness

We are to press on to Christian maturity. If we neglect our salvation and allow the work of salvation in our lives to fall by the wayside, there is one of the most sobering dangers for the New Testament Christian awaiting us- the chance that God may not permit us to press on to maturity. Hebrews 6 teaches us that the Christian who doesn't allow salvation to do its work inside him or her will find themselves stuck in a spiritual wilderness where there is no more opportunity for repentance. But there is hope for us. As long as we can still hear God's voice, we are not in this category. We can hold on to Jesus as an anchor for our soul as we lay hold of all He has for us.
